How the export works
An organization administrator can export the workspace at any time from the signed-in workspace. If you cannot sign in, write to info@plenetic.com from an administrator address. The export is a zip file. Each module is one CSV file (UTF-8, comma-separated, with a header row; nested values such as addresses or custom fields are JSON inside the cell). Files stored in the workspace are included in their original format under documents/. Modules are included even if a paid plan for them has ended. There is no charge for the export or for switching.
Periods when you switch
- Notice: a switching request or termination takes effect at the end of the current billing period, no later than two months after we receive it.
- Transition: from that date you keep full use of the service for up to 30 days while you move. If that is technically not possible, we tell you within 14 working days and propose a period of up to seven months.
- Export period: after the transition you can retrieve your data for at least 30 more days. On request we extend this period.
- Deletion: when the export period ends, Plenetic deletes the workspace, including stored files. Backups age out within 30 days.

What is not included
- Email messages from connected mailboxes. They remain in your own mailbox with your email provider.
- AI assistant chat history.
- The text content of pages. Only page titles are exported.
- Time entries and absences.
- Files larger than 100 MB. They are listed in skipped.json in the zip and we provide them separately on request.
- Data of installed extensions, unless the extension provides its own export.
- Internal operating data: logs, AI traces, aggregated token-usage figures, and security and audit records.
- Plenetic’s software, configuration, and other customers’ data.
If you need any of the customer data listed above for your switch, write to info@plenetic.com and we will provide it as a structured file during the export period.
Jurisdiction and protection against government access
Plenetic GmbH is a German company and is subject to German and EU law. The infrastructure that stores customer data is operated by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Luxembourg) in the EU region eu-north-1 (Stockholm, Sweden). Analytics and AI traces run on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Nürnberg, Germany, managed by Elestio. Some subprocessors belong to US groups (Amazon Web Services, OpenRouter, OpenAI, Microsoft Azure, Stripe) and may be subject to US law. The full list is at /subprocessors.
To prevent government access to or transfer of non-personal customer data that would conflict with EU or Member State law, Plenetic takes these measures:
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and stored in EU regions.
- AI prompts and answers go through OpenRouter’s EU API with zero data retention requested. OpenRouter deletes them promptly after the response. It does not guarantee the model provider’s own retention.
- Plenetic discloses customer data only on a binding order under EU or Member State law. It checks each request for lawfulness, contests unlawful requests, and discloses only the minimum required.
- Plenetic tells the customer about a request before disclosing data, unless the law forbids that.
- Subprocessors are bound by contract to the same rules.
